Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for flight to Tel Aviv.

Early morning arrival to Ben Gurion Intl Airport.  Once you have your luggage and are through customs you will be greeted with “SHALOM” by your guide and driver. Board the bus, and have a light breakfast before we proceed to the Ella Valley where David slew Goliath. (Samuel 1)  Lunch enroute. We then travel to Hebron, for a visit to the Cave of the Patriarchs. (Genesis 23)  From here we travel to the edge of the Judean desert descending to the lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea. Check in at our hotel and take a dip, and float in the silky healing mineral water of the Dead Sea. Then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

 

Day 03: Wed 05Nov

Israeli breakfast buffet in the hotel and then we will make our way to visit the nearby mountain fortress of Masada, truly a remarkable piece of history. We will ascend by cable car to visit the magnificent ruins of the fortress where the Jewish zealots made the last stand of the Judean revolt against Rome. We will drive through the Judean desert, along the shores of the Dead Sea to Qumran to see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Lunch enroute. Visit the Inn of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30) and an ancient Byzantine church. Praise and Worship.  Continue to Genesis Land, where we’ll meet a caravan of camels led by Eliezer, the servant of Abraham, on the way to the patriarch’s tent for desert hospitality.  We begin our ascent to Jerusalem with a stopping at Mt. Scopus for a breathtaking view of Jerusalem. Check in at our hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

 

Day 04: Thu 06Nov

After breakfast, we are off to Mt. Moriah.  We enter the Old Walled City through Dung Gate to Ophel Garden. There we’ll explore the excavations at the Southern Wall. We’ll tour the Western Wall Tunnels, exploring the hidden layers of Jerusalem that are revealed underground. Our journey continues at the Church of St Anne, and the Pools of Bethesda the site where Jesus healed the lame man (John 5:1-15). Then we follow in the footsteps of Jesus as we continue along the Via Delorosa. Visit the remains at the entrance, the “Lithostratos / Pavement” is still there, upon which Jesus was tried by Pilate. The final Stations of the Cross are at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.   We leave the Old City for the Biblical Village on the slope of Yad Hashmonah for lunch and a hands-on exposure to the customs of the ancient Israelites.  Visit Yad Vashem – the museum of the Holocaust, and the Avenue of the Righteous Gentiles. “And to them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name (a “yad vashem”)…that shall not be cut off.” (Isaiah, 56:5) Stop to enjoy the magnificent view from the Haas Promenade on our drive back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

 

Day 05: Fri 07Nov

After an early  breakfast we’re off to the Mount of Olives and a visit to the Church of the Ascension.  Visit Pater Noster, where Jesus taught his disciples “The Lord’s Prayer”.  We’ll visit the Mt. of Olives overlook for a spectacular panoramic view the Old Walled City and the Temple Mount.  We’ll follow the Palm Sunday route as we wind our way down to Dominus Flevit, Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations.  “Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” (Matthew 26:36)  After an authentic biblical lunch at the Eucalyptus Restaurant, we’ll visit St. Peter in Gallicantu and the prison at Caiaphas’ house, site of Peter’s denial. (Matthew 57-75) Then we ascend Mt. Zion to visit the Church of the Dormition Abbey, Cenacle – The Upper Room – the Last Supper and the Tomb of David.  Return to the hotel and prepare for a traditional Sabbath meal. Dinner and  overnight.

 

 

Day 06: Sat 08Nov

We’ll start at the Garden Tomb for morning worship and communion.  Then off to the birthplace of Jesus - Bethlehem and Shepherd’s Field, and the Basilica of the Nativity. Visit local shops filled with olive wood carvings made by local artists. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a walking tour of Mishkenot Sha’ananim, Montefiore’s Windmill and the picturesque neighborhood of Yemin Moshe.  Enjoy local hospitality and the awesome view of Mt. Zion and the Old City Walls.  Dinner at the hotel. Evening Sound and Light show.

 

 

Day 07: Sun 09Nov

Early breakfast and check out of our hotel as we embark on our journey north. We’ll travel through the Jezreel Valley, the breadbasket of Israel. First stop Armageddon - the battle of Gog and Magog. Explore Meggido’s 5000 year history as you follow the paths through from the City Gates to King Solomon’s stables. (1 Kings 9:15) We continue our journey to the River Jordan, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. (Mark 1:9)  Opportunity for baptism. Dine on a meal of St. Peter’s fish before embarking on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Praise and Worship. Then we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his famous “Sermon on the Mount”.  Visit The House of Peter and the White Synagogue at Capernaum, where Jesus gave the sermon “On the Bread of Life”.  Then on to the Museum at Ginosar and see the “Jesus Boat”. Check in to our hotel for dinner and overnight. 

 

 

Day 08: Mon 10Nov

After breakfast we’ll ride along the Sea of Galilee to visit Kursi, traditional site of Jesus’ miracle at Gergesa. (Mark 5: 1-13) Along the way we’ll visit the Katzrin Olive Oil Mill in the Golan Heights.  Visit Banias, Caesarea Philippi – Where Jesus charged Peter with founding the Church (Matt 16: 13-20). Praise and Worship.  Lunch enroute. Then we’ll hike at Tel Dan National Park that combines a lush nature reserve with a biblical archaeological experience. On to the beautiful Hula Valley, a place of nature’s wonders. See the spectacular bird migration as flocks of birds flying south for the winter, circle in the dusky skies and come to rest in the still waters.

 

 

Day 09: Tue 11Nov

Early breakfast and check out of hotel. Visit Magdala, the ruins of an ancient fishing village, near the Arbel cliffs, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, the birthplace of Mary of Magdalene.  Our journey takes us to Kfar Cana, where we can renew our vows at the Wedding Church, site of Jesus’ first miracle – turning water into wine.  Then we’ll step into the Bible at Nazareth Village, a first-century farm and village presenting the life, times and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. We drive along the ‘Via Maris - Way of the Sea to the ancient port city of Caesarea built by Herod. Visit Pontius Pilot’s Palace, the Amphitheatre of Martyrs, the Crusader Port. There on the Mediterranean Sea enjoy our farewell dinner and say “Shalom” to the Holy Land.  After dinner transfer to Ben Gurion Intl Airport and depart the Holy Land on your return to Malaysia.  Shalom!
